We're seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our finance team. This role is pivotal in maintaining the financial integrity of our operations and supporting our continued growth across Australia.
1. Financial Record Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
2. Reconciliations: Reconcile bank and supplier statements to ensure accuracy
3. Payroll Management: Oversee PAYG, superannuation, and ensure timely compliance
4. Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly profit & loss statements and balance sheets
5. Compliance: Ensure BAS, tax, and accounting obligations are met
6. Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to the Accounts team
About You:
* Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and accounting software
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
* A proactive mindset with a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality
To succeed in this role, you'll need strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent time management and organisation abilities. If you have experience working with financial software and systems, that's a definite plus.
Requirements
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Accounting or related field an asset
* Minimum 2 years' experience in bookkeeping or accounting
* Proficiency in MYOB, Xero, or other accounting software
* Strong understanding of Australian taxation laws and regulations
