About the Opportunity
The Team Leader – Engineering Team leads a team of professional officers responsible for the assessment and approval of plant and plant design registrations, and for enforcing compliance with the Work Health and Safety Act **** (SA) and associated regulations. The role ensures that engineering decisions support safe work environments and uphold regulatory standards.
The Team Leader is responsible for the performance and development of individuals within the team and the management of the daily operational activities of the team members to ensure KPIs are achieved. The Team Leader will also be required to carry a small case load.

SafeWork SA is a business unit within Attorney-General's Department and is responsible for providing work, health and safety, public safety, and state-based industrial relations services across South Australia. As a regulator, our Investigators and Inspectors ensure work, health and safety, and public safety standards are met, and appropriate action is taken when breaches of laws are detected. We also help people better understand their work health and safety responsibilities.

Special Conditions for Employment
Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory. Successful applicants will be provided further information if an interview is requested. Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Structural, or related discipline) and eligibility for membership with Engineers Australia.
