About the Role
As a Payroll Advisor, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time. You’ll manage payroll systems, ensure compliance with relevant legislation, and provide outstanding support for payroll-related queries. This position is essential to maintaining trust and satisfaction across the workforce, while also supporting the organisation’s compliance with all payroll and reporting requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
* Process end to end payroll for employees on a weekly/fortnightly/monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Bapcor’s policies and legislative requirements.
* Ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately, including salary/wages, benefits, bonuses, deductions, taxes, and any other adjustment.
* Manage and update payroll systems, including time and attendance in a timely manner, including the maintenance of employee changes, new employees, and terminations.
* Provide verbal and written support to employees regarding payroll inquiries, such as pay slip discrepancies, tax questions, and leave balances and educate employees on payroll-related policies and procedures.
* Interpretation of awards/agreements and contracts in line with legislation.
* Work closely with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure accurate and consistent payroll data.
* Support the HR team with employee data management, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
* Participate in payroll-related projects and initiatives, including system upgrades and process automation.
About You
This is a service driven environment, where teamwork, initiative and being proactive are key to success. To be successful in this role you will have:
* 2+ years payroll experience
* Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing, including managing multiple payroll cycles, handling complex payroll scenarios, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations Numerical ability and data entry skills .
* Hands-on experience with payroll software and rostering systems.
* Knowledge of tax regulations, superannuation, and employment standards related to payroll, with the ability to apply this knowledge to ensure compliance.
