Kalyan Youth Service Inc. provides crisis and transitional accommodation, case management support, and developmental programs for young people aged 16–25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to support young people with safe housing, personal growth, and transition to independent living.
Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, the Youth Worker works under general direction to deliver crisis accommodation services to young people experiencing homelessness or housing instability. The role requires the application of established skills and knowledge gained through qualifications and/or relevant experience.
The position contributes to service delivery outcomes by implementing approved practices, participating in case management under supervision, supporting daily operations of the service, and exercising judgment where procedures are not clearly defined, within organisational guidelines.
