We are seeking passionate and dedicated mental health professionals to support the emotional wellbeing of expectant and new parents. Our Workforce Development Program, in collaboration with Federation University, offers a unique opportunity to enhance your skills by completing a Graduate Diploma in Perinatal Mental Health with integrated paid placement.
This program is delivered through Medicare's Better Access initiative, providing remuneration for clinicians via the affiliated Medicare Rebate. We are committed to excellence in education, the advancement of perinatal mental health care, and offering a unique opportunity to undertake paid placement whilst studying.

Program Details:
* A 12-month program consisting of workshops, seminars, and online modules developed and led by industry professionals and educators.
* Weekly individual supervision with a dedicated perinatal supervisor.
* The opportunity to work in our soon-to-be-established Gidget House site in Berry Springs, NT.
* A commitment of two days per week.
Gidget Foundation Australia Offers:
* Centralised administrative support, appointment booking, and service promotion.
* No rental or overheads contribution.
* Free professional development opportunities and GFA-funded places available.
Clinician Requirements:
* Accreditation or registration as a clinical or registered psychologist, accredited mental health social worker, or mental health occupational therapist.
* Commitment to building up to seeing a minimum of 5 clients a week for 12 months.
* Ongoing commitment opportunities to continue employment with GFA for at least a day per week for 12 months post the one-year academic program.
* At least 2 years post-registration or accreditation experience desirable.
* Interest in perinatal mental health work.
* Demonstrated high-level communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently under approved professional supervision.
* Effective caseload management.
