About the Role
To support our continuous growth and ambitious business strategy an exciting new opportunity has become available for a self-driven sales professional to join our team based in Melbourne as Key Account Manager.
As part of the Sales team, tthe Key Account Manager will focus on a number of company key customers within a designated Food & Beverage category. In this role, you will handle critical and complex products that require excellent customer relationship skills to maintain competitive positioning and ensure trust to continue to grow Cargill's share. You will conduct face to face and remote sales with new and existing customers, assist in evaluating customer needs and suggest appropriate products, services, and solutions. Key Accountabilities
Develop a plan to establish and maintain current and new account relationships and meet personal sales targets.
Build business plans for each account developing strong customer relationships.
Through strong customer relationships provide significant input to planning product, price and service strategies.
Protect, grow and diversify the relationship with targeted customers.
Monitor customer and competitor activity and industry trends.
Independently handle complex issues with mínimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff. About You
You are an experienced and proactive sales professional seeking a unique opportunity to grow a region, with proven B2B sales success, and will also bring: Bachelor's degree in Food Science or relevant field experience; Previous experience in a similar role, in a complex sales environment ideally with a fast moving global company; A sound knowledge of effective sales and a business development mind-set; Strong interpersonal and communication skills to develop strong working relationships with all levels internally and externally; The ability to build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions; The ability to manage and travel within a large regional portfolio; The ability to work autonomously.
