Senior Software Engineer
You're an experienced software engineer who wants to see your work come to life in the real world. You'll develop software that powers large-scale, automated 3D metal printing solutions—combining robotics, mechatronics, and proprietary software to transform advanced manufacturing. As part of a small, highly skilled team, you'll work closely with robotics and mechatronics engineers to build systems that seamlessly integrate hardware and software, enabling a fully automated Wire Additive Manufacturing process.
What You'll Do
Design and develop innovative software solutions in Rust, C++ and related technologies.
Build reusable libraries, APIs, and scalable platforms.
Drive best practice in Agile, DevOps, testing and automation.
Collaborate with robotics and mechatronics experts to optimise automated manufacturing.
Contribute to technical strategy, architecture, and product roadmaps.
Mentor and share knowledge within the engineering team.
What we're looking for
Proven experience delivering complex software solutions in a production environment.
Deep knowledge of Rust and/or C++; experience with CGAL, 3D modelling, path planning, Qt, or other UI frameworks is a plus.
Strong understanding of Agile, TDD, CI/CD, and modern DevOps culture.
Adaptive mindset with a passion for problem solving and exploring AI-assisted tooling.
Collaborative, hands-on engineer who thrives in a small, fast-moving team.
Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Location
Adelaide preferred (hybrid model).
