The Armidale Rural Referral Hospital is seeking an experienced General Practitioner to join its emergency medicine team.
The ideal candidate will have a primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA, Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and/or overseas trained specialist pathways, or nearing completion of Fellowship.
Key responsibilities include delivering excellence in clinical care, promoting seamless continuity of care between inpatient and outpatient services, and providing inpatient and emergency department service to ensure optimal medical care to patients of the hospital.
The hospital offers a range of benefits, including a comprehensive range of services, including acute medical and surgical services, obstetrics, paediatrics and a range of diagnostic and allied health services. The referral community of the area is 55,200. Adult Medical services include respiratory, cardiac, chemotherapy, renal and palliative care. Surgical services include general, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology and ophthalmology. The hospital is a spacious, modern and well-equipped facility.
To be considered for this role, you will need evidence of being a medical expert, demonstrated by recent and comprehensive experience in General Practice. You must also have completion or currently undertaking an Emergency Life Support course and skill/experience in Emergency Medicine. Additionally, you should have evidence of being a scholar, maintains medical professional development and has the ability to assist other staff, including trainees in the acquisition and development of knowledge.
