The Opportunity
We are currently seeking Operations Trainer to join our remote operations across Western Australia.
This role is ideal for experienced trainers who thrive in FIFO environments and are passionate about developing people, promoting safety leadership, and delivering high-quality training and assessment across diverse operational settings.
As a trainer, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering both accredited and non-accredited training, ensuring employees are competent, compliant, and aligned with Compass Group standards and our Our Safety Culture framework.
Key Responsibilities
Training & Assessment Delivery
* Deliver accredited and non-accredited training and assessment across operational environments
* Deliver practical and theory-based training on:
* Heavy vehicles
* Forklifts
* Manual handling and operational equipment
* Ensure training materials, assessment tools, and documentation remain current and compliant
* Support KPI tracking, data collection, and reporting requirements
Safety Leadership & Compliance
* Promote and model Compass Group's Our Safety Culture Framework
* Ensure accurate recording of training, assessments, inspections, and safety observations
* Conduct equipment inspections and safety checks as required
Coaching, Leadership & Collaboration
* Coach and mentor onsite leaders and team members
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, customers, and site leadership teams
* Resolve training and service issues and escalate where required
About You
Essential
* Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116)
* Experience delivering training and coaching in operational or hospitality environments
* Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
* Sound computer skills and reporting capability
* Solid understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
Desirable
* Experience working within a Registered Training Organisation (RTO)
* OH&S and/or Food Hygiene accreditation
* Experience in remote environments
* Ability to train across multiple operational areas (bar, retail, barista, housekeeping, catering)
