We're an artisan bakery, with a big heart, located on the beautiful Bellarine Peninsula and operate with a fantastic team.
People seek us out for our 100% sourdough croissants, breads and small batch pastries that deliver the unmistakable Ket Baker hit.
Handcrafted, every croissant we make, takes five days to develop the intense flavour profile and texture that we're known for. And as in nature, each croissant is unique. Each one takes on the natural elements of our shed kitchen – our sourdough culture, our weather, our moods
Our small batch pastries feature local fruit, veg and produce (like goat's cheese from Drysdale Cheeses and Lard Ass butter) alongside some of the world's best Belgian chocolate.
And our bread? It's what drives us. We believe people should be able to eat delicious and nutritious bread every day. Bread that you'll love and that will love you (and your guts) back.
We've been baking on the Bellarine since 2016, and love being part of this small, dynamic, supportive community.
We offer a job where you will be working amongst the best bakers and pastry chefs out there and an opportunity to be part of a fantastic fun team. Experience in sales or customer service is an advantage. This position is great to learn about the world of bakeries and sourdough.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
* Customer service experience an advantage
* Good degree of fitness for physicality of moving bakery produce around, stocking shop and bakery produce.
* Friendly, out-going nature with solid time-management and initiative skills
* Barista experience an advantage not a necessity
* Adaptability
* Strong communication skills- interacting in a friendly and warm manner to our customers is of utmost importance
