Maintenance/Grounds Staff
Job Summary:
This role involves providing support with the ongoing maintenance, presentation, and general upkeep of school grounds, gardens, and outdoor facilities.
Responsibilities and Skills:
1. Maintain lawns, gardens, trees, and landscaped areas to ensure a neat and safe environment.
2. Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and tractors.
3. Participate in seasonal planting, pruning, mulching, and weed control.
4. Familiarity with irrigation systems is beneficial.
5. General Maintenance and Handyman Tasks:
* Assist with setting up and dismantling school events and outdoor activities.
* Conduct routine inspections of outdoor facilities and equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
* Report maintenance issues and assist in planning and implementing grounds improvement projects.
6. Work Health and Safety:
* Comply with all Work Health and Safety policies and procedures.
* Ensure tools, machinery, and materials are used and stored safely.
* Identify and report potential hazards and contribute to a safe working environment.
