Komatsu is seeking a skilled Operator of Joy Global underground mining machinery to join as an Operator Trainer and Assessor at either Parkhurst (QLD) or Rutherford (NSW).
Your goal will be to ensure our customer’s operators are fully equipped with the knowledge and skills to operate our advanced underground equipment safely and efficiently.

The Role
As an Operator Trainer and Assessor, you will design training programs and assessments aligned with industry standards and customer objectives. You will foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence among operators.
You will have in-depth knowledge of our equipment and work with customers to develop assessments based on their training needs. Creating engaging content and delivering effective courses will be key.
This role covers our customers on the East Coast. While we aim to limit time away from home, travel of up to 1-2 weeks at a time may be required. We offer flexible arrangements to accommodate this.
Qualifications & Experience
* Certificate IV Underground Coal Operations (required)
* Safe, confident operation of Joy Global machinery (required)
* TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)
* Experience as a trainer and assessor in underground mining (desirable)
