About the role
Reporting to the Store Manager, this full-time Inventory Controller/Sales Support role is an excellent opportunity to join the dynamic team at Sports Hut in Launceston, Tasmania. You will play a vital part in ensuring the efficient management of our inventory and provide essential sales support to our team.
What you'll be doing
1. Manage the receipt of inventory
2. Maintain accurate stock records and conduct regular stock takes to identify and resolve discrepancies
3. Process and track purchase orders, liaising with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of stock
4. Assist our retail team with product queries, stock availability, and other sales-related support
5. Contribute to the continuous improvement of our inventory management processes and systems
What we're looking for
1. Minimum 2 years' experience in an inventory control, purchasing, or logistics role
2. Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and generate accurate forecasts
3. Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
4. A proactive, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving
5. A team player with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced retail environment
