These values aren't just words – they drive us forward every day.Role PurposeAs Project Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of fibre deployment in addition to managing several assigned projects under the SMAP program.
This includes overseeing all aspects of the project lifecycle, from route planning and desktop design to managing design and build contractors and ensuring successful project completion.
The role is responsible for time, cost, and quality while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.This is a 12-month fixed term opportunity to work directly across the delivery of the SMAP program, where you'll work alongside a dynamic team, with the chance to influence key decisions and shape the strategic direction, design, and delivery of the project.
*This position can be based in Melbourne or Brisbane*Role ResponsibilitiesEnd-to-end project delivery of fibre deployment projects, including route planning, desktop design, contractor management, and project completion.Develop and manage project plans as per defined governance framework.Ensure accurate and timely reporting of projects, and management of project updates in our project management tool.Manage project budgets to ensure delivery under budget.Monitor and ensure contractors meet HSE and quality requirements through coordinating field audits and inspections with the field team.Engage with internal and external stakeholders to align on project goals and progress.Coordinate land access and permit requirements as required.Conduct regular project meetings with stakeholders and contractors to ensure timely, budget-conscious, and quality delivery.Review as-built and completion documents.Coordinate field inspections to finalize project delivery.About youProven experience in delivering large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably in the telecommunications sector.Strong ability to manage complex project plans and budgets.Demonstrated experience in managing contractors to ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.Knowledge of HSE standards and compliance requirements.Excellent communication skills to effectively engage and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.A team player who can work collaboratively across various teams and departments.Strong focus on forward planning and attention to detail.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeContractJob functionProject ManagementIndustriesTelecommunications
