Unlock the future of power systems engineering with this exciting opportunity.
About the Job
We are seeking a highly skilled Power Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for software sales, onboarding new users, and developing features that require power systems engineering knowledge.
This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute directly to a product that is helping solve global grid interconnection challenges. You will have the chance to work closely with our co-founders and report directly to Jarman.
Duties
* Meet with potential customers to understand their challenges, demonstrate our capability, respond to technical sales questions, and close sales opportunities.
* Onboard and train new users to ensure they get the most from our software platform.
* Meet with existing customers to deeply understand their challenges and opportunities. Create defined scopes of work for the software engineering team based on these customer discussions.
* Support the software engineering team when they have power systems engineering questions or need features tested.
* Provide technical support for projects across different regions and adapt our platform to different grid codes around the world.
* You will be required to travel for work, up to 10% of the time.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Electrical engineering and power systems experience.
* Experience engaging with clients or stakeholders in a technical capacity, ideally including B2B sales or technical pre-sales.
* Experience using power systems simulation software such as PSSE, PSCAD, and PowerFactory.
* Experience with grid codes such as the NER, WEM Rules, and G99.
* Control systems experience.
It's great, but not required, if you have back-end experience in Python or contract negotiation experience.
What Success Looks Like
In your first 6 months, you will have helped close several sales opportunities and onboarded those new users. You will have developed strong relationships with users to understand their challenges and opportunities. You will have contributed to product development based on your power systems engineering expertise.
