Overview
This role is responsible for managing and leading complex procurement activities, supplier contracts, procurement education and information specific to improving customer focused business products and value for money outcomes within the Office of Industrial Relations (OIR). OIR are part of the Department of State Development (DSD).
The Office of Industrial Relations (OIR) contributes to the government's employment and economic objectives in the areas of workplace health and safety, electrical safety, workers' compensation and industrial relations. The role is to deliver required business outcomes and ensure compliance with government procurement standards, legislation and specific agency policies and procedures.
This role sits within the Finance, Facilities and Procurement branch within the Business and Corporate Services business unit. The role reports to the Principal Procurement and Contracts Officer, OIR.
Responsibilities
* Manage and lead complex procurement activities.
* Manage supplier contracts.
* Provide procurement education and information to improve customer-focused business products and value for money outcomes.
* Ensure compliance with government procurement standards, legislation and agency policies and procedures.
