Join the Workforce Capability team and play a key role in designing our Virtual training courses for Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology. The Workforce Capability department oversees organisational training and competency frameworks, digital learning platforms, and best-practice delivery models.
Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a motivated Technical Digital Designer to join our team. In this role, you will work on developing immersive training products within the healthcare sector using Adobe Suite, Blender, and Unreal Engine. You will be contributing to an established project and workflows to develop Virtual Training courses.
responsibilities include:
* Create and integrate 2D and 3D assets into Unreal Engine projects (modelling and texturing low poly assets)
* Creating 2D illustrations and mock-ups with Adobe Suite
* Implement training products and simulations for the healthcare industry using Unreal Engine Blueprint code
* Configure and maintain Unreal Engine project settings and environments
* Develop Virtual Reality experiences within an existing framework
* Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot Unreal Blueprint issues and find solutions
* Communicate progress, blockers, and technical challenges effectively to the team
* Follow established project workflows and documentation standards

What we are looking for
This is a Monday to Friday role, 9:00am to 5:00pm (start and finish times negotiable).
No weekend work is required.
To be successful in this role, we are seeking someone who brings:
* Basic proficiency in 3D design and modelling (Blender desirable)
* Basic proficiency in 2D design and asset creation (Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop)
* Greater than 1 year of experience in game development, game design or design
* Working knowledge of Unreal Engine is highly desirable
* Experience with Unreal Engine Blueprints visual scripting
* Understanding of basic Unreal Engine project configuration and setup
* Interest in VR application development
* Strong communication skills written, verbal and visual
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a small team
* Eagerness to learn and grow within the role
The following attributes are Desirable:
* Familiarity with healthcare and/or training simulation projects
* Portfolio demonstrating game design or interactive media projects
* Knowledge of version control systems (e.g. Git, Perforce)
* Basic understanding of C++ and/or Python
