This position will be a healthy mix of field and office-based tasks, working under the guidance of senior staff, offering significant career development across all aspects of the industry.Day to day tasks would involveSupervise and assist in geotechnical investigations including drilling and test pitting programs, CPTs and geophysical surveys, in Perth and throughout WAConduct site inspections including insitu testing such as plate load testing, field permeameters, etcInvestigation planning, premobilisation requirements, subcontractor engagement and management and preparation of laboratory testing plansAssist with geotechnical analysis, modelling, and design for slope stability, pavements, landfills, dams, foundations, retaining walls and other structuresApply engineering judgement to interpret data and develop practical, commercially viable solutionsConduct soil and rock logging in accordance with AS 1726:2017Prepare quotes and deliver high-quality technical outputs that meet client expectations and deadlines while demonstrating commercial awarenessCollaborate with an Australia-wide multidisciplinary team of engineers, geologists, hydrogeologists, geotechnicians and environmental scientists/engineersSupport a diverse range of projects from inception to completionTo be successful for this role you'll needTertiary qualifications in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering or GeologyAt least two years' experience including drilling and rock core loggingDriver's licence and the ability to travel to remote sites for project workStrong technical report writing skillsExcellent communication skills and client relationship building skillsPhysical RequirementsThis role involves both office and field work.
