About the role
Taco Joint' is looking for a passionate Grill master/Team member to join our dynamic and fast-paced kitchen team in Oxley & Slacks Creek QLD. As a full-time team member, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious Mexican-fast food dishes to delight our customers. This hands-on role is the perfect opportunity for an experienced cook who thrives in a bustling kitchen environment.
What you'll be doing
- Expertly grilling and cooking a variety of meats, vegetables and side dishes to Taco Joint's high standards
- Ensuring all dishes are prepared to recipe specifications and presented beautifully
- Maintaining a clean, safe and well-organised kitchen workplace
- Providing excellent customer service and working collaboratively with the front-of-house team
- Assisting with inventory management and ordering of kitchen supplies
- Following all health and safety regulations
What we're looking for
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Line Cook, Grill Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant environment
- Formal culinary training or qualification desirable
- Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
- Passion for creating delicious, high-quality Mexican-inspired cuisine
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure
