The Role
We are seeking an experienced Asset Manager to join our team in our Bibra Lake Office. This role will oversee asset strategy, maintenance planning, compliance, and risk management. You'll work closely with operations, engineering, and HSEQ teams to implement innovative, sustainable, and optimised asset solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and disposal of high-value assets.
- Develop strategies to maximise reliability, utilisation, and ROI, while minimising downtime and costs.
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance programs to ensure critical equipment remains operational.
- Ensure all assets meet regulatory, safety, and defence standards, including ISO and site-specific requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of asset condition, location, service history, and certifications.
- Analyse performance data to forecast failures and recommend improvements or upgrades.
- Prepare and manage budgets for procurement, maintenance, and replacement.
- Provide technical advice and insights during design, execution, and commissioning phases.
- Promote a strong HSE culture and comply with all safety, quality, and environmental systems.
- Identify process improvements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure prompt reporting of all incidents and adherence to company and regulatory standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in asset management within mining, oil & gas, or defence sectors.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance planning, risk management, and asset optimisation.
- Ability to manage budgets and make cost-effective investment decisions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to provide actionable insights from asset data.
- Strong understanding of engineering assets, heavy equipment, and systems used in mining, oil & gas, and defence sectors.
- Proficiency in lifecycle management, maintenance planning, and optimisation strategies.
- Ability to interpret performance data, conduct root cause analysis, and implement improvements.
- Familiarity with industry standards (ISO 9001), defence compliance frameworks, and safety legislation.
- Skilled in coordinating asset-related projects, budgets, and timelines across multiple sites.
- Strong decision-making skills in high-pressure or remote operating environments.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – both written and verbal.
