This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-level executive support to the Chief Executive Officer for the City of Boroondara.
About The Role
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the CEO's office operates seamlessly and professionally, managing complex workflows and strategic priorities in a dynamic and politically sensitive environment. The role also involves building strong relationships across the organisation and with key external stakeholders, contributing to the delivery of Council's strategic objectives and governance responsibilities.
About You
You are skilled professional with extensive experience supporting senior leaders in complex, dynamic and agile environments. You bring exceptional organisational and administrative skills, sound judgement, and the ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters with discretion. Your interpersonal skills enable you to build strong, respectful relationships at all levels, and you are adept at producing clear and accurate documents, correspondence, reports, and presentations. You are proactive, adaptable, and confident in leveraging technology to improve processes and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will oversee and manage all administrative and executive functions for the CEO's office, ensuring the calendar, meetings, and correspondence are handled with precision and professionalism. You will be integral in fostering a positive organisational image and strengthening connections with the community, representing the CEO's office with integrity.
You will keep the CEO informed and prepared for all engagements, coordinate travel and events, and maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and presentation.
Beyond day-to-day operations, you will assist with research, projects, and people-related activities, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with Council priorities. You will liaise with the Mayor, Councillors, senior leaders, and external stakeholders, representing the CEO's office with professionalism and discretion. Importantly, you will contribute to process improvements, embracing emerging trends and technologies to enhance communication and streamline administrative practices across the organisation
