Senior Network Development Manager (Sr NDM) – Overview
Senior Network Development Manager on the Global Network Deployment team is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering network capacity for internal and external AWS customers. They are the single‐threaded owner for deploying and scaling our network layers, expected to achieve efficiencies‐at‐scale to deliver over 10P/year of network capacity, supporting step‐function (50%+) YoY growth and an associated CapEx responsibility annually. They enable mass migration away from higher cost, lower performance, and availability networks, reduce non‐redundancy risks with flawless execution, and own delivery of multi‐year redundancy goals while laying a foundation for unique network capabilities that differentiate AWS services. They drive efficiencies‐at‐scale through automation and process improvements, decoupling headcount entitlements from demand growth. The Sr NDM independently manages three or more teams, hires diverse talent, and develops and promotes network development engineers and managers.
