About Us

G'day Group is Australia's leader in regional tourism, with more than 90 parks and resorts in some of the country's most spectacular locations.

El Questro is the heart of the Kimberley — a place of deep cultural significance, dramatic gorges, ancient ranges and unique wilderness experiences. As co-custodians of this remarkable landscape, we are committed to genuine partnership with Traditional Owners and the Wilinggin community.

Our Benefits

* Estimated Salary Package: 130k (Base + Super + Food + Accomodation + Bonus)
* Accommodation & meals provided at no cost
* Relocation assistance
* Additional leave benefits & wellbeing support
* Professional development, mentoring and cultural capability growth
* Live and work in one of Australia's most extraordinary landscapes
* Strong team culture, peer support and ongoing guidance

Your New Role

As the First Nations Liason Officer, you'll play a key role in strengthening how El Questro engages with Native Title Holders and how we embed cultural integrity into daily operations.

You will work closely with:

• The Wilinggin Aboriginal Corporation (WAC)

• The El Questro Management Team

• Cultural advisors, Traditional Owners and Elders

• The broader G'day Group Tourism & Experience teams

You will support:

* Maintaining respectful and consistent engagement with Wilinggin Traditional Owners
* Coordinating cultural activities, cultural awareness initiatives and on-Country engagement
* Supporting Aboriginal employment, participation and pathways across the property
* Assisting with heritage management processes and cultural protocol compliance
* Providing administrative support (reporting, tracking commitments, coordinating meetings)
* Collaborating with operational leaders to ensure cultural obligations are understood and upheld
* Supporting project work that links community priorities with operational needs

You will experience clear seasonal rhythms:

* Peak season (May–September): Higher volume of cultural engagement activities, community visits, stakeholder meetings and operational collaboration across Homestead, Station, Tours and Rangers.
* Shoulder & off-season: Space for planning, training, capability building, reporting, and long-term community engagement projects.

This role offers genuine purpose, stability, hands-on cultural work and a unique lifestyle experience.

Your Skills & Experience

We're seeking someone who brings cultural integrity, adaptability and a strong commitment to working respectfully with Traditional Owners.

You'll be a great fit if you have:

* Experience working with Aboriginal communities and Traditional Owners
* The ability to build trusting, culturally appropriate relationships
* Strong communication skills and confidence facilitating conversations or cultural training
* Understanding of community engagement, land use agreements or cultural heritage processes
* Ability to manage admin, reporting and coordination tasks
* An open, grounded approach — willing to learn, collaborate and work with cultural humility
* Ability to operate effectively in a unique, nature-based environment for an extended period

If you have any further questions about the role please contact Lauren May on for a confidential conversation.
