Materiel Inventory & Planning Capability Officer Job Summary
As a Materiel Inventory and Planning Capability Officer, you will be responsible for delivering complex materiel logistics, inventory, and planning outcomes. This role requires extensive knowledge of Defence logistics processes and compliance with legislative frameworks, government decision-making, and Defence's mission and policy requirements.
You will provide professional advice and utilize exceptional communication and problem-solving skills to deliver solutions to problems, ensuring the delivery and coordination of logistics support for operations, contingencies, exercises, and other activities. The effective planning and management of logistic support and sustainment require engagement across multiple disciplines, including Sustainment, Procurement, Maintenance, Movements, Catering, and Munitions capabilities.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a small integrated team of ADF, APS, and Contract professionals specializing in logistic governance, management, planning, and sustainment for domestic, regional, and international operations. The ideal candidate will have broad experience in Supply Chain Logistics, Asset Management, and Distribution. You will also possess extensive working knowledge of Logistic Systems, particularly SAP, Lotus Notes, COMSARM, and GENESYS. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for engaging with various stakeholders.
