Our client is Federal Government Agency which works in partnership with patients, consumers, clinicians, managers, policy makers and healthcare organisations to achieve a sustainable, safe and high-quality health system.
The Project Officer will be expected to work with limited supervision, within a team context and with internal and external stakeholders to assist with a Program of work responsible for the ongoing stewardship of nationally standardised tools used in Australian hospitals to prescribe, dispense and administer medicines safely.
You must be an Australian Citizen to be considered for this role.
**Key responsibilities (including but not limited to)**:
- Undertake input into project planning and documentation; assistance with implementation; monitoring and reporting on progress, identifying problems and proposing possible solutions.
- Collate, edit and draft written materials associated with the program.
- Provide secretariat support for committees and expert groups.
- Undertake procurement and contract management activities.
- Liaise with national and state authorities, professional organisations, individuals and non-government organisations to progress the program's work priorities.
- Excellent communication skills including demonstrated ability to prepare documents including briefing papers, reviews, submissions, correspondence and meeting papers.
- Demonstrated project management skills and experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
