Do you want to work for a leading national not-for-profit organisation providing dedicated human and social services to a diverse Australia?With community at the heart of everything we do, our purpose is to create a world in which everyone has access to equal opportunities.About the RoleThis role will be responsible for the delivery of a Skilling Queenslanders for Work Program, planning and coordinating all activities to ensure success, the role will be required recruit, support and engage program participants.The coordinator requires program participants to be mentored and supported in the development of employability skills that drive employment outcomes. This program focuses on working to offer optimal support to address barriers encountered by our clients such as travel, literacy and access to local employer networks that lead to great employment participation rates, increased education levels, better access to services, increased community engagement and socioeconomic gain for individuals, their families and the wider community.This position will also entail liaising with the Department of Trade, Employment, and Training (DTET) representatives and other government departments and agencies as well as community organisations and other service providers to ensure that the delivery of the program is successful.The role will also include but not limited to business development with employers. As well as provide training and assessment as required.Please reach out to us for thefull Position Descriptionto review the Key Responsibilities and Measures of success.Qualifications in Training and Assessment, Qualifications in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability Work and/or Community ServicesPrevious experience in delivery of Government funded programs such as Skilling Queenslanders for Work or similar.Previous coordination experience ideally in an environment working with vulnerable people.Cultural understanding of CALD people and their barriers and support requirementsDemonstrated ability to understand labour market trends and needs and barriers facing individuals seeking employment.Demonstrated ability to deal with unpredictable situations and behaviours.High level of interpersonal skills including the ability to consult and negotiate with a range of internal and external stakeholdersKnowledge of and Industry contacts with the Business IndustryExperience working with CALD community members and community groups.Aptitude for innovation and initiativeDemonstrated ability to deal with unpredictable situations and behaviours.Proficiency un using current MS Office 365 and communication technologies.Experience in the provision of culturally appropriate and sensitive services to people from a CALD background, or vulnerable people in our community.About our BenefitsSalary packaging options to receive up to $15,900 of your salary tax-free meaning more take-home pay!Access to in-house training and learning opportunities for professional development and growth.Access to our inhouse wellbeing programsWorking alongside professional and dedicated team members all wanting to make a difference in our communities.About UsSettlement Services International (SSI Group) is a community-based organisation and social business that supports newcomers and Australians to achieve their full potential.
