What you'll be responsible for
Operational Management – ensuring operations are safe, legally, environmentally and ethically compliant, sufficiently resourced and delivered to budget
Leading a team of high performers to a continuing high standard and achievement of goals, as well as maintaining positive relationships with operational teams, Fleet, Procurement, sales, administration and compliance
Ensuring excellent working relationships with customers and other key external stakeholders
Strategy and planning to contribute to ongoing business development and maintaining awareness of internal and external considerations, market trends, business intelligence and opportunities for innovation
Finance management and reporting including regular financial and operational reports, assistance with budgets, adherence to governance and financial modelling of strategic plans and cost-saving initiatives
What you'll need to be successful
Relevant waste and mining experience
Significant experience in leadership and development of teams
Strong commercial acumen – managing P&L and budgetary requirements
Demonstrated success in managing safety and environmental matters
Excellent communication skills and a high interpersonal approach
