A growing family run FMCG business is looking for a Head of Sales to drive growth.

**Your new company**

Is a family run FMCG business which has been in operation for over 30 years in the Australian market. They have seen solid growth over the last 5 years built on product quality, high service levels and keeping ahead of the curve in NPD. They also have very exciting plans to expand further over the next 5 years. The company has set aside a large pot of funds for investing in this growth and this role in order to achieve the lofty but realistic target that has been set. The business supplies innovative food products across numerous channels such as; Major Grocery, Mass Merchants, Emerging & Discounters, Foods Service and Route and prides itself on having top quality, superior products over its competitors.

**Your new role**

Your new role is a Head of Sales role that reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for managing the whole sales function of the business, from managing the major accounts, to providing strategic direction to the field sales team and creating the overall sales strategy with the CEO for the business moving forward. The major focus of the role will be to aggressively expand into the majors and also grow the existing business with other customers, whilst also working with marketing and the NPD teams to ensure that the NPD pipeline is competitive and robust enough to support growth.

**What you'll need to succeed**

Previous experience managing National Accounts is essential and if this is a mix of route/food service and major grocery, that would be held in very high regard. Previous experience of managing a sales team in some capacity is a must and a proven history in a high-growth style business would be very useful. An ability to demonstrate strong stakeholder management with a large mix of stakeholders is needed, as is the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. This role would be suited to a strong performing Senior National Account Manager/National business Manager, looking to take a step-up into Head of Sales role.
