Alfred Health is seeking ICU Registrars for a position commencing in November 2025 (Term 4). This role involves coordinating the daily operations of the Intensive Care Unit, supervising junior medical staff, and gaining essential skills for specialist training in intensive care medicine.
The Alfred Hospital is a leading tertiary teaching hospital in Melbourne, providing comprehensive health services to the inner southeast suburbs. The ICU is a state-of-the-art 65-bed unit treating over 3,000 patients annually, offering services including heart and lung transplantation, ECMO, burns, hyperbaric medicine, and adult trauma care.
The department offers extensive educational programs, including weekly teaching sessions, journal clubs, simulation training, and more, aligned with the College of Intensive Care Medicine requirements. CICM trainees or registrars applying for CICM admission in 2026 are encouraged to apply.
