Social Media Manager

About the Role
Lyca Mobile Australia is a leading provider in the prepaid mobile telecommunications sector, connecting customers locally and globally through great-value mobile plans.
We're looking for a Social Media Manager to own and elevate Lyca Mobile Australia's social media presence while driving measurable commercial impact across owned channels and third-party marketplaces (Amazon & eBay).
Based in our Parramatta office, this role is responsible for shaping and executing best-practice social media strategy, creating engaging content, managing communities and influencers, and optimising performance through data and insights. You'll also play a key role in growing eCommerce reseller performance and brand visibility within the highly competitive prepaid market.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy & Execution
• Develop and deliver data-led social media strategies aligned to Lyca Mobile Australia's brand, engagement, and revenue objectives.
• Own the day-to-day management of social channels including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube, X (Twitter), and LinkedIn, tailoring content by platform and prepaid customer segment.
• Plan, schedule, and publish content using tools such as JIRA and social media scheduling platforms.
• Build and maintain a rolling 3-month content calendar aligned to campaigns, promotions, and seasonal moments relevant to the prepaid mobile category.
Content & Campaign Management
• Create and/or coordinate high-quality, platform-optimised content (static, video, stories, reels, shorts).
• Develop and execute social campaigns, competitions, and promotional activations to drive prepaid plan awareness and acquisition.
• Optimise content to increase reach, engagement, and community interaction.
• Identify and leverage emerging content formats, trends, and platform features.
Community & Influencer Management
• Manage and moderate Lyca Mobile Australia's social communities, responding to comments, messages, and mentions in line with brand guidelines.
• Build and manage relationships with relevant influencers and creators across prepaid, value, student, and multicultural segments.
• Lead influencer collaborations end-to-end, from briefing to execution and performance reporting.
• Implement best-practice crisis response and community management processes.
Performance, Insights & Optimisation
• Monitor, analyse, and report on social performance using tools such as Google or Adobe Analytics, Meta Insights, TikTok Analytics, YouTube Studio, and social listening tools.
• Track KPIs across engagement, audience growth, acquisition, and campaign ROI.
• Analyse competitor activity and share of voice within the prepaid mobile market.
• Translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations to improve performance.
• Evaluate new tools and techniques to continuously improve measurement and optimisation.
eCommerce Reseller Management (Amazon & eBay)
• Manage Amazon and eBay reseller budgets, promotions, and ongoing performance.
• Optimise prepaid mobile product listings including titles, descriptions, imagery, keywords, and A+ content.
• Monitor sales, traffic, conversion rates, CPA, and ROI.
• Forecast inventory needs, manage stock availability, and minimise stockouts.
• Conduct competitor and market analysis to inform pricing and promotional strategies.
• Ensure brand compliance and manage customer reviews and feedback.
Leadership & Collaboration
• Coach, manage, and support junior team members.
• Educate internal teams on social media best practices.
• Collaborate closely with marketing, eCommerce, customer service, and wider Lyca Mobile Australia teams.

Skills & Experience
• Proven experience managing multiple social platforms for a consumer brand.
• Experience within telecommunications, prepaid, or highly competitive consumer categories is highly regarded.
• Strong understanding of social analytics, performance optimisation, and reporting.
• Hands-on experience managing Amazon and eBay marketplaces.
• Excellent content creation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and cross-functional projects.
• Experience leading or mentoring junior team members.
