In this role, you’ll be part of a team that maintains and delivers essential building and maintenance services across Queensland. You’ll play a key role in supporting the safe and reliable operation of the state’s schools, hospitals, housing, and government facilities. Safe, inclusive, and well-structured workplace Be part of projects that make a difference for Queensland communities Opportunities to collaborate with skilled public sector professionals Responsibilities include but not limited too: Produce high quality tender and quotation documentation for building projects and prepare accurate and timely estimates, quotations and project trade packages, including material lists and construction programs. Provide a level of supervisory services in respect to the delivery of construction, maintenance and upgrade work undertaken by QBuild, including assisting in the planning and delivery of projects through the efficient supervision and development of office staff, field staff and subcontractors. Coordinate and undertake the delivery of a high- quality condition assessment services for QBuild’s clients, including inspections/surveys of building elements and construction materials including collecting samples of suspected asbestos containing materials for laboratory testing. Undertake inspection services including tenancy management services and maintenance referrals on behalf of Government Employee Housing. Maintain a healthy and safe work environment, ensuring compliance with current human resource practices and principles The Client: Our client is the Queensland Government’s building and asset services team, operating under the Department of Energy and Public Works. Delivering maintenance, construction, and project management services for public infrastructure across the state. To be successful you will have the following: Current Workplace Health and Safety General Safety Induction Card. While not mandatory, a construction industry-related trade qualification would be considered favourably. Please note: Travel may be an integral activity for this (or as negotiated). The majority of this will be road travel, and there may also be occasions (if required) where you will travel by light aircraft.
