The role
Join the dynamic team at the School of Health as a part-time Educator. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping the future of the healthcare by delivering engaging and impactful healthcare education across programs such as Diploma of Nursing, Certificate lll Individual Support and accredited and non-accredited health care training, to our students. With a focus on equipping the next generation of nurses, aged care and disability support workers, with the skills and knowledge they need to excel, this position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the healthcare industry.
What you'll be doing
- Design and deliver innovative education programs across Nursing, Aged and/or Disability care that challenge and inspire students
- Stay up to date with the latest health care practices, technologies and industry trends to ensure course content is relevant and cutting-edge
- Provide individual support and mentorship to students, helping them develop the necessary competencies to become exceptional healthcare professionals
- Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the Diploma of Nursing, Aged and Disability curriculum
- Collaborate with the wider School of Health team to foster a dynamic and collaborative learning environment
- Participate in education research projects to advance the field of Nursing, Aged and Disability care pedagogy
What we're looking for
- Registered Nurse with a post‐graduate qualification in nursing education or a related field
- A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116), or equivalent, or higher (essential)
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a clinical role, with a demonstrated commitment to lifelong learning and career development
- Proven track record of designing and delivering engaging, interactive and effective education programs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with and inspire a diverse group of students
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Passion for health care and a genuine desire to contribute to the development of future healthcare leaders
