Qualifications and Attributes
* Minimum 5 years proven experience in a Transportation or Logistics ,
* Strong financial analytic and reporting skills,
* Ability to mentor, lead, drive and manage a team to achieve desired business outcomes,
* Excellent leadership and management skills,
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
* Knowledge of safety, hygiene, and animal welfare regulations
* Excellent negotiation skills
* Exceptional problem-solving ability
* Current and valid car driver’s license necessary (MC desirable)
About the role
This position will be responsible for the entire management of the operation overseeing the coordination and execution of livebird transport and catching operations across our national divisions.The successful applicant will identify opportunities for improvement and efficiencies and ensure all activities are performed safely across all operations sectors .Advanced customer service experience with the ability to engage and liaise at multiple levels.Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment,Hands-on, can-do attitude and approach.
Role Include
* Undertaking contract management, program delivery and procurement, in line with best practices.
* Facilitate the receipt, review and acceptance of contract deliverable, including additional services.
* Monitor and report on the performance of customer and/or service providers, facilitate any contract variations and escalate matters to senior decision makers as required.
* Manage relationship with key customers and service providers.
* Manage the cost recovery arrangements.
* Assist in providing safe, integrated and efficient transport systems.
* Provide assistance and transformation strategic advice, planning, analysis and support nationally across allocated transport/catch divisions.
* Management of innovation and collaboration to help set direction, define business strategies, solve complex challenges, and drive outcomes.
