Clinical Nurse Consultant - Infection Control
As an advanced clinical leader in infection prevention and control, the Clinical Nurse Consultant works in partnership with the Nurse Unit Manager - Infection Control to evaluate, plan and develop contemporary infection control practice across acute hospital and community services.
The role requires working collaboratively with stakeholders to improve patient safety and reduce healthcare-associated infections. The successful applicant will have highly developed organisational skills, including the ability to work under pressure and within rigid timeframes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Evaluation of infection control practices and development of evidence-based strategies to improve patient safety.
* Collaboration with stakeholders to implement quality improvement initiatives and research activities.
* Development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
* Postgraduate studies appropriate to infection prevention and control and inclusive of hospital epidemiology (desirable).
