About the Role:
We require an educator who is available to work 5 days per week up to 35 hours per week from 6:30-8:30 and 2:00-6:00pm, plus additional hours during vacation care between the hours of 7:00am-6:00pm.
As a Group Leader and Responsible Person In Day-to-day Charge your role will include direct child care responsibilities, creating and implementing a creative and engaging educational program as well as contributing to the service management with admin tasks.
Your role will involve assisting with the day-to-day operations of the service, including fostering positive relationships with children, families, and the wider community, as well as managing group activities and addressing child protection and well-being concerns.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for children, promoting diversity and well-being.
- Manage split shifts effectively, balancing childcare duties with administrative tasks.
- Contribute to Work Health Safety (WHS) protocols, including risk minimisation plans and communication strategies.
- Cultivate positive relationships with children, families, and the broader school community.
- Implement routines and procedures while addressing child protection and well-being issues promptly and effectively.
- Manage the day to day operation of the service including compliance and administration in the absence of the Nominated Supervisor.

Job Criteria:
You must hold the following qualifications/clearances:
- A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care CHC50121 or ACECQA equivalent
- Have relevant experience working with 4 to 12-year-old children or in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Hold current current first aid and CRP certificates (HLTAID012)
- Valid NT Working with Children Check (OCHRE card)
- A National Criminal History Check
- Previous experience as a Group Leader or in service management
