Our client, a Federal Government Agency, is seeking an APS6 Community Engagement Officer to join their team in the Darwin. This role sits within the Co-Design and Engagement Branch which provides advice and operational support for sector and community engagement, managing events and activities logistics, and ensuring disability community perspectives are represented in Agency initiatives.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
* Coordinating critical data analysis and feedback to measure effectiveness of activities and strategies, including identifying associated risks and trends.
* Contributing to the development, implementation and monitoring of targeted engagement strategies aligned to broader Agency frameworks and business plans.
* Building strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to facilitate participation in engagement activities and events, including stakeholder meetings, forums, and webinars.
* Designing, developing, and facilitating engagement sessions with internal and external stakeholders, including co-design of set projects.
* Supporting strategic planning, program and project management, and policy development to achieve Agency objectives.
* Managing reporting and analysis activities, and implementing resource controls within a defined area of responsibility.
* Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, including risk management and work health and safety requirements.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
* Proven work experience in a similar role, ideally within government or the disability sector.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience in project management, strategic planning, and continuous improvement processes.
* Ability to work independently under limited direction, exercising initiative and discretion.
* An understanding of or lived experience in the field of disability is highly desirable.
This role is at the APS6 level equivalent, offering $60.26 per hour + super. The rate of pay is casually loaded, as you will not be accruing annual or sick leave.
