We ARE expanding our WA portfolio, and we ARE seeking experienced Head Chefs with the passion of delivering quality food, caring about the presentation of food, individuals who lead by example and also provide good customer service.
The point of hire is Perth, WA | Villages located throughout regional WA, catering for approximately 170-260 residents.
The Role:
* Oversee all kitchen operations ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation
* Ensure food presentation, product presentation and meal service are to Sirrom Village standards
* Work within budgeted food costs
* Lead and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment
* Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control to optimize kitchen efficiency
* Lead and develop the kitchen team to achieve their maximum potential
* Comply with company food safety policies and procedures, adhering to the HACCP methodology, ensuring that all documentation in relation to food safety is maintained on a daily basis and periodically throughout the day, including temperature monitoring, stock control and rotation
Skills and experience required:
* Minimum 3 years' experience on a remote mine-site village in a kitchen leadership role (essential)
* Bulk catering experience
* Ability to keep to a budget and keep accurate records
* Excellent Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively lead and collaborate with the team
* Problem solving skills with ability to remain calm under pressure
* Leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop others
* Understanding of Food Safety principals and the HACCP methodology
* Able to work under pressure
* Passion for cooking: A genuine enthusiasm for creating delicious and innovative dishes
What you need:
* Cookery qualifications - minimum (or equivalent) Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
* Food Safety Supervisor
* National Police Clearance - not more than 6 months' old
* FIFO experience in a similar role (essential)
* To be able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug screen
* Located and based in Perth, WA
