Fire Systems Technician Role Overview
This permanent position involves maintaining, testing and inspecting fire detection and suppression systems in accordance with Australian Standards.
The ideal candidate will have a Certificate III in Fire Systems Testing and Inspections and industry experience in fire systems inspection, testing, maintenance and repair.
Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with essential service maintenance requirements and certification processes.
Strong communication skills are necessary to liaise with Defence representatives regarding system status and maintenance requirements.
Defence standards and manufacturer specifications must be adhered to at all times.
Maintain accurate records of system inspections and maintenance activities.
Identify and address potential risks associated with fire detection and suppression systems.
Work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure effective maintenance and operation of fire systems.
Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of fire system maintenance.
