Service Manager – Mast Climber & Powered Access Operations

The Service Manager – Mast Climber & Powered Access Operations is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the day‐to‐day service operations relating to mast climber and powered access systems across multiple projects and client sites. The role focuses on operational service delivery, client liaison, workforce coordination, compliance monitoring, and ensuring efficient and high‐quality customer service outcomes.
The position is responsible for supervising operational teams, coordinating schedules and service activities, maintaining safety and compliance standards, and ensuring clients receive timely and professional support throughout all stages of service delivery.
Key Position Responsibilities
* Coordinate and oversee day‐to‐day mast climber & powered access service operations across multiple projects and sites.
* Liaise with clients regarding operational requirements, scheduling, service delivery and project updates.
* Coordinate installation, modification, maintenance and dismantling schedules with operational staff and supervisors.
* Monitor service quality, customer satisfaction and operational performance across assigned projects.
* Allocate staff, equipment and resources to ensure efficient delivery of services.
* Ensure all operational activities comply with WHS requirements, company procedures and relevant industry standards.
* Conduct regular site visits, operational inspections and compliance checks.
* Assist in resolving operational issues, client concerns and service‐related matters promptly and professionally.
* Coordinate documentation, including service reports, SWMS reviews, compliance records and operational checklists.
* Support recruitment, onboarding and training of operational staff where required.
* Monitor operational costs, equipment utilisation and labour allocation to support efficient business operations.
* Work closely with management, supervisors and yard personnel to ensure equipment availability and timely service delivery.
* Assist with preparation of quotations, operational planning and service proposals for clients.
* Maintain strong working relationships with clients, contractors and internal stakeholders.
Key Position Capabilities
* Strong experience coordinating service operations within powered access construction support services, access systems or related industries.
* Sound understanding of mast climber and powered access systems requirements, operational specifications and safe installation procedures.
* Ability to work in the operational field in a hands‐on role if and when required.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder‐management capability.
* Proven hands‐on leadership skills across operational teams and field staff.
* Strong commercial understanding, including budgeting, cost control, and contract and operational administration.
* Advanced problem‐solving skills with ability to manage complex operational environment.
* Proficiency in scheduling tools, Microsoft Office and project reporting systems.
* White Card (mandatory); Rigging or Scaffolding or Powered Access tickets (IPAF) are also required.
* Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience.
