As the APS 3-4 Surveillance Coordinator, Materiel Data Officer, you will be expected to assist in the identification, planning and coordination of destructive and non-destructive surveillance test activities related to Explosive Ordnance within Defence inventory. This function directly supports the Safety and Reliability Program, ensuring that items remain safe and suitable for service.
* Management & processing of surveillance task requests
* Organising test activities with internal test agencies, including the Joint Proof and Experimental Unit and Defence Science Technology Group
* Active engagement with stakeholders to inform surveillance scheduling, priorities and reporting of results
* Supporting planning and scheduling discussions as part of formal working groups and informal requests
* Maintaining & updating surveillance scheduling tools, business processes and workflows
* Monitoring key performance metrics with respect to surveillance and reporting progress during regular team meetings

The Explosive Materiel Branch is a group of dedicated employees. Our mission is acquiring and sustaining guided weapons and munitions across the life-cycle phases: requirements setting; contracting; procurement; international logistics; domestic manufacturing; item management and maintenance, and co-ordination of disposal activities.
The EOS specialist should have experience and applicable skillsets working in logistics, including inventory management.
The ideal candidate should also have experience and skillsets working in coordinating, managing and/or conducting test activities, including planning, scheduling, deconflicting and managing reports.
The selected applicant should have well-developed verbal and written communication skills, including ability to format and develop clear and concise work instructions and correspondence tailored to the audience.
The applicant should also have a good working knowledge of data management tools, including MS Office Excel and Access.
It is essential to work well within a diverse team of logisticians, technicians and engineers to foster an inclusive, supported and outcome-centric work culture.
Additionally, it is a requirement that the selected applicant has, or be able to achieve, a security clearance of Negative Vetting Level 1.
