Transform the Procurement Function of one of Melbourne's leading end-to-end FMCG businesses in collaboration with the C-Suite
**The Company**
One of Australia's leading Food Manufacturing & FMCG businesses is looking for an experience supply chain professional & consultant to transform its procurement processes.
You will play a key role in the transformation of the procurement function in collaboration with the National Supply Chain Manager, CEO and COO.
**The Role**
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer your main responsibilities will include:
- Undertake a review of the current procurement function
- Establish new processes and systems for best practice, ensuring effective procurement management and reporting
- Identify opportunities for increased cost effectiveness across 100s of suppliers
- Create a short-term and long-term procurement strategy in collaboration with senior stakeholders
- Prioritise the order in which suppliers are to be reviewed and renegotiated in-terms of immediate value-add
- On-boarding of new suppliers to ensure delivery of goods and services meet requirements
- Drive conversations with suppliers, pushing improved trading terms and cost incentives
- Review and redesign sourcing processes to align with and build on the procurement strategy
- Build and design reporting frameworks to allow visibility across category spends
- Identify opportunities and create category consolidation
- Lead, drive and manage departmental projects aimed at improving the efficiency, effectiveness, and service delivery of the Financial Governance team
- Meet Department KPIs & Project Requirements
- Work collaboratively with other departments to deliver on Sustainable Procurement initiatives / programs
Play a key part in reducing cost for the business, enhancing reporting & systems and in putting streamlined and transparent processes in place.
This role will start as a six-month temp contract with the possibility to extend and offers you the opportunity to work in a flexible working environment.
**Your Skills & Experience**
- Tertiary degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business or Commerce
- A background in consulting or continuous improvement is desirable
- An understanding of Supply Chain or Procurement
- Experience in leading a transformation program within a medium organisation
- Demonstrated experience in negotiating contracts
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Well-developed written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Experience in workplace collaboration and continuous improvement
- Well-developed people management skills to engage and build relationships and influence across all levels of the organisation and with external stakeholders
- Dynamic individual with the ability to inspire and lead change
