Overview
We are looking for a UX/UI Designer who is responsible for designing features for our digital products that meet people's needs.
This role will create desirable, usable and compelling experiences, design original concepts, and work with established design principles and our design system to consistently deliver high value user experiences.
The role will also be responsible for informing designs with user research and usability testing to ensure products are validated with users and fit-for-purpose.

Location flexible to be based in Parramatta or Melbourne
Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with Product and clients to understand business objectives and articulate product vision through effective and efficient experience design
Translate concepts into service blueprints, customer and user journeys, wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity designs
Understand product specifications, and technical and business requirements.
Keep updated on products and trends
Understand user psychology and define user requirements, identify opportunities to optimise existing user interfaces
Conduct concept and usability testing, gather feedback and create personas through user research and data
Define the right interaction model, define experience metrics and evaluate success
Develop task flows, wireframes and prototypes based on user needs
Find creative ways to solve UX problems (e.g. usability, accessibility, findability)
Own the end-to-end design process and keep abreast of competitor products and industry trends
Communicate design ideas and prototypes to technical and delivery stakeholders
Identify and consider risk and security impacts of designs and follow relevant design governance processes
Develop accessible designs to comply with WCAG 2.2 Level AA
What you bring to be successful in the role
Minimum 3 yrs of proven experience in UX/UI design
Ability to manage design activities, deliverables, timelines and deadlines
Strong experience in interaction design and human-centred design methodologies
Proficient in design software (Figma preferred) and knowledge of HTML/CSS
Experience working with design systems
Experience collaborating with a variety of stakeholders across product, development, and project management to successfully go from early-stage product discovery to deployment
Ability to produce designs of a varying fidelity appropriate to delivery stage
Problem-solving aptitude and analytical mind with a business acumen
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to present designs to stakeholders, and justify design decisions
Workshop facilitation experience will be highly regarded
Experience in financial services and qualifications in Design, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
