Sitting within a high-performing Property team, you will take ownership of lease documentation across a national portfolio, working on new store rollouts, renewals, relocations and a significant store conversion program. You will operate as a key commercial partner to the business—moving beyond pure legal review to actively enable deals, manage risk and support delivery at pace. This role is ideal for a legal professional who enjoys being close to the business, influencing outcomes, and working in a fast-moving, high-volume environment where pragmatism and commercial thinking are key. The Role: Own and manage national lease precedents, ensuring consistency and governance Review, negotiate and finalise lease documentation across the full store lifecycle Drive transactions through to execution, balancing legal risk with commercial outcomes Support a high-volume pipeline of store openings and conversion projects Partner closely with Leasing, Store Development and Finance teams Identify risks, bottlenecks and opportunities to improve speed and efficiency Provide practical, solutions-focused advice to support deal progression Contribute to the evolution of leasing frameworks, processes and systems The Candidate: Qualified solicitor/lawyer or equivalent with experience in property or retail leasing Experience operating in-house or advising retail clients is highly regarded Strong capability in lease negotiation and documentation Commercially minded, with the ability to balance legal risk and business objectives Comfortable working at pace across a high-volume portfolio Highly organised with strong attention to detail Confident stakeholder manager and communicator Key Measures of Success: Improving VIP lease clauses and broader lease framework quality Reducing lease turnaround times, with a target of 28 days from receipt of lease Ensuring all lease documentation is finalised and signed ahead of handover Supporting the successful delivery of a major national conversion and growth program If you are looking for a role that combines legal, commercial and operational leasing responsibility at scale, this is an outstanding opportunity to make your mark in a business with real momentum.
