Experienced PAINTERS are needed to work on projects in Queensland, New South Wales, Tasmania and Victoria Established in 1954, McElligotts is one of Australia’s largest, privately owned Protective Coatings companies. With depots in Mackay, Gladstone, Geelong, Melbourne, Sydney and Launceston.

Ideal applicants will possess the following:
At least 3 years’ experience Trade Certificate –Certificate III in Surface Preparation or equivalent Coal Board Medical / BMA Health Assessment
Construction Induction (White or Blue Card) Working at Heights Confined Space
Current Drivers Licence (MR or HR class is desirable) High Risk Licence for EWP and/or Forklift (desirable) MSIC Card (desirable)Understand surface preparation and finishes.
Understand surface preparation and finishes. Be able to understand and complete works to specifications. Be able to mix to correct ratio two-part paint coatings etc.
Select paints, varnishes and stains to various surfaces using brushes, sprays, and rollers. Understand the use of Wet Film Thickness Gauges and be able to achieve specified dry film thickness. Be able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
Erecting scaffolding and ladders. Cleaning equipment and work areas. This is an exciting opportunity in a successful contracting organisation.
