About the Role
We are seeking a well-organised and detail-oriented
Procurement Assistant
to support our procurement and supply chain operations in Australia. In this role, you will assist with purchasing activities, supplier coordination, and administrative tasks to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
You will work closely with the Procurement Manager and internal stakeholders to support day-to-day procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with raising purchase orders and processing procurement requests
* Support supplier onboarding and maintain accurate supplier records
* Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, delivery schedules, and order status
* Track and reconcile purchase orders, invoices, and delivery notes
* Maintain procurement documentation and filing systems
* Assist with contract administration and renewals
* Support inventory tracking and reporting activities
* Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures
* Prepare basic procurement reports and summaries
Required Skills & Experience
* Diploma or Bachelor's degree in
Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field
(or equivalent experience)
* Previous experience in an administrative, procurement, or supply chain role is preferred but not essential
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Proficiency in
Microsoft Office
(Excel, Word, Outlook)
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment
* Eligible to work in Australia
Nice to Have
* Experience using procurement or ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
* Basic understanding of procurement and supply chain processes
* Experience dealing with vendors or service providers
* Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
* Experience in a fast-paced or multi-site environment
