American Express Global Merchant Network Services (GMNS) manages all aspects of our vitally important merchant relationships.
GMNS Australia is the largest contributor of active locations in force (ALIF) in the region and has the potential for significant growth.
Business Enablement team is a new team being stood up within GMNS organisation to provide first line of support/defence enabling both protection and growth for GMNS business.
Team will achieve this by working very closely with Control Management team, Field and COEs (MCO, GCO and Risk).
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Managers to be part of this exciting team who will be making a difference to business.Core responsibilities:Identify, owning and driving Operational Risk Events to resolution in collaboration with all key stakeholders across the businessCo-ordinating with internal and external auditors, executing on auditor's request and implementing remediation plansEfficient and timely implementation of regulatory changes including enhancements to existing processes and systems.Establishing systems and procedures to enforce robust AML/KYC proceduresEnsure Risk, Compliance and Audit policies are adhered to across the Onboarding processOwnership and accountability of audit results, outcomes and remediationsManagement & resolution of compliance gapsIdentify and implement projects to improve POC and activationAlignment across GMNS businesses with any nuances, including Compliance, Risk, Marketing, Operational Excellence and Operations teams.Document Standard Operational Procedures.Qualification:Strong process and Project Management skills together with a demonstrated results orientation (setting targets, prioritization, personal accountability) and proficiency with metrics / KPIsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining tight deadlinesStrong change management and communication skillsStrategic, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, ability to maintain very detailed project documentation are critical for the roleHighly effective influencing skills, with an ability to build strong relationships with business stakeholders & partnersExperience in compliance related roles is desirableExcellent attention to detail and ability to produce high quality documentationFast learner, able to understand operational processes & capabilitiesAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining tight deadlines.Robust collaboration, influencing and communication skills.Good Excel and Power Point skillsAbility to influence without authorityWe back you with benefits that support your holistic well-being so you can be and deliver your best.
