ABC Heavy Engineering is a locally owned and operated engineering company, heavily focused on Health, Safety, The Environment and Quality. We specialize in the manufacture, repair and maintenance of heavy equipment in the Mining, Civil ports and Agricultural sectors, both in the workshop located in Mackay and on-site across multiple Bowen Basin Mine Sites.
Looking to engage:
· Qualified Carpenters
· Qualified Plumbers
· Trade Assistant - Vegetation Control & General Labour
These roles will support ongoing maintenance, minor projects and infrastructure works across site facilities including workshops, offices, amenities and surrounding grounds.
Scope of Work:
Plumbers: Maintenance, repair and servicing of all water and sewerage systems, including leak detection, pipework installation and general plumbing compliance works
Carpenters: Building maintenance and structural repairs including but not limited to doors, windows, flooring and roofing works. Minor construction and modifications works including infrastructure upgrades as required
Trade Assistants: Clearing of vegetation around site requiring the use of brush cutters, mowers and whipper snipping; weed management; general labour and trade support as required
Requirements
· Trade qualifications (where applicable)
· A minimum of 3 years onsite experience essential
· Strong commitment to safety and compliance
· Ability to work autonomously and in a team
· Relevant tickets/licences highly regarded
To be successful in any of these roles, candidate must hold or be prepared to obtain:
· Current Coal Board Medical
· Standard 11
