* The position involves developing sourcing strategies and tactics based on a deep understanding of the business, its strategy and drivers, the local supplier market, and global strategies.
* The Commercial Specialist enables stakeholders in the Supply Chain to understand contract intent, optimize contract use, manage contracts for performance, and eliminate waste.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Ensure Supply Chain Strategy supports Goal Zero Aspiration by implementing robust Contractor Safety Management practices and aligning with business personal and process safety Goal Zero focus areas.
2. Design and improve assigned supply chains with business partners, including in-house/outsource choices and redesigns, contracting strategies, and commercial tactics, as well as post-award contract management.
3. Maintain strong networks in the market, staying aware of supplier developments and opportunities.
4. Apply the CMCP process and CP operations practices while focusing on contributing to business drivers and ensuring compliance with HSSE&SP, E&C, Code of Conduct, Laws, and regulations.
5. Understand business changes, drivers, and external environment, triggering adjustments to supply chain end-to-end processes, leading category strategies, and negotiating contracts.
6. Manage relationships across the end-to-end supply chain for assigned categories, ensuring stakeholders understand contract intent and work together to achieve desired business outcomes.
7. Determine remuneration models (e.g., output-based contracts) to encourage suppliers' right behaviors and expectations, optimizing supply chain and asset delivery alignment.
8. Drive total cost reductions and value beyond usual targets. Identify opportunities in the contract portfolio to create more value and/or eliminate waste.
9. Drive continuous improvement by replicating game-changer improvements and recommended practices, facilitating discussions on process performance and inefficiencies.
10. Conduct tenders, evaluate bids, develop robust should-cost models to generate value, and drive negotiations with Suppliers in line with CMCP guidance and collaboration with the business.
11. Proactively identify and understand procurement needs from internal stakeholders, proposing competitive solutions for the end-to-end Supply Chain.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience in contract negotiations and tender evaluation, with attention to detail.
* Able to adjust global strategies to the current situation of the local business and market conditions.
* Influencing stakeholders (Business, CP, Suppliers) to work together in an integrated way.
* Contract management (including post-contract process steps).
* Managing supplier relationships.
* Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
* Highly driven, 'can do,' inspiring, able to articulate in a crisp and precise manner.
* Able to translate strategy into tangible and valuable outcomes for the local business.
* Uncompromising on HSSE, ethics, and compliance.
* Understanding the business and end-to-end process in the Supply Chain, able to communicate in business language.
* Continuous improvement and simplification mindset.
* Able to look ahead, think strategically, while focusing on day-to-day delivery.
* Experience in managing Production contracts is desirable.
* Experienced user of SAP/Ariba for all CP-related activities.
