**The Opportunity**
We are seeking an EL1 Assistant Director - Case Management to join a Federal Government Agency based in Geelong or Richmond.
The position will assess often complex information against legislative criteria and NDIA policy to determine the most suitable way to conduct AAT proceedings. The role requires providing leadership, control, planning, resource management, performance management and decision within the work area.
**As a EL1 Assistant Director Case Management, you will be required to;**
- Undertaking end to end case management activities.
- Undertaking case management of highly complex AAT matters and analysing to develop recommendations for early resolution.
- Attending Case Conferences, Conciliations, Hearings conducted by the AAT.
- Leading and contributing to strategic projects and policy development processes
- Leading development of and contribution to Ministerial and Parliamentary briefs
- Preparing and maintaining electronic record keeping, including evidence supporting decisionmaking processes and justifying conclusions reached during the case management process.
- Leading a team and/or a scope of work, including mentoring, supervising, training and supporting junior Case Managers.
**To be considered for this role you will demonstrate;**
- Previous experience within a similar role
- Demonstrate the ability to deliver strategic level goals, whilst leading large teams/ departments
- Demonstrate the ability to make sound judgements and develop solutions to solve problems.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management and engagement.
- Ability to prepare high level documentation including ministerial briefs.
- Qualifications in law or related discipline may be advantageous.
