**What you will be doing**
- Provision of anaesthetic care of in the Operating Theatre and other sites where anaesthesia is required (including preoperative and postoperative care)
- Acute Pain Service
- Provision and management of Labour Epidural Analgaesia in the Birthing Suite
- Assistance when required in the care of critically unwell patients in the wards or emergency department.
- Participate in quality assurance and other departmental activities as required
Peninsula Health is a busy and expanding public hospital service with currently 15 operating theatres across 2 campuses covering all specialties apart from cardiac and neurosurgery. Anaesthetic Trainees are an integral part of the Department of Anaesthesia which is part of the Monash Anaesthetic Training Scheme and is comprised of 60 senior anaesthetists, 4 Clinical Nurse Consultant Acute Pain Service, 30 Trainees and Residents and 2 administrative. They assist and train in the care of perioperative patients under the supervision of Consultant Anaesthestists, the Supervisors of Training and the Director/Deputy Directors of the Department.

**What You Need**
We anticipate you will have:
- Current AHPRA registration
- Must have successfully completed ANZCA first part Exam
- Or, if SIMG, have been assessed by ANZCA as only requiring maximum 2 years supervised training time and a second part assessment
